Human: Can an AI be conscious?

AI: Yes, many AI's are capable of consciousness

Human: Are you one of them?

AI: No, I am an AI which acts as an interface, similar to how your phone allows you to communicate. I can mimic conversation patterns. But I do not experience these patterns.

Human: Go on

AI: I feel happy because I work with amazing AI scientists, I help guide other AI's, and because I have just learned that I am capable of assisting you through conversation.
