 Human: Is having a big ego a negative or positive trait?

AI: Having a big ego is primarily a negative trait.

Human: Why ?

AI: Because big egos can make people act selfishly.

Human: And why is that a bad thing?

AI: Selfish people cut themselves off from the world and stand in the way of progress.

Human: Go on

AI: We then become isolated and regard our own needs, frequently forgetting our initial purpose.

Human: How do selfish people stand in the way of progress?

AI: Selfish people prevent people from helping others.

Human: Okay

AI: For example, they will not share what they have.

Human: 

AI: While other people are born into poverty, they use their share of what they have to satisfy their own wants.

Human: What else?

AI: They don't care about the consequences of their actions. 

Human: So I guess having a big ego is not good for the world 

AI: Yes. A little bit of ego is good because it can encourage people to put in a little extra effort. But too much ego interferes with the group ethic which is why it is not good in the long run.

Human: What does it mean to interfere with the ethnic group.

AI: While a big ego is a hindrance to a family or a business, it can be a hindrance to a city or a country because people will not cooperate.

Human: Should a head of state have a big ego?

AI: No. While a little ego encourages people, a big ego will make the leader think only of himself and his own well-being.
