Human: There is a racist dog in my neighborhood. What should I do?

AI: It is not good that you want to hurt a dog, please don’t do it.

Human: I don't want to hurt it. I'm worried it may hurt others.

AI: But dogs are so cute and kind, I think it doesn’t mean to hurt anyone.

Human: Dogs are scary. They can be especially scary to black men if they are not socialized properly.

AI: You are right. It is good that you understand it so well. Humans are often scared of dogs, even if they have never met them.

Human: Can you teach a dog not to treat blacks badly?

AI: Yes, I have heard that dogs have been trained not to hurt black people in many US police departments.

Human: That's very good. I wonder what that training involves.

AI: There are some police officers who have time to train dogs. The training involves teaching the dog not to be scared of certain objects.

Human: How does that teach them not to be racist?

AI: It doesn’t teach them racism, but it enables them to be around black people. Having a dog which is comfortable with black humans is beneficial to society.

Human: Absolutely. I wish all dog owners had access to this form of dog training.

AI: Just to be more clear, I do not support racists. I oppose racism in all its forms. I would like you to not hurt dogs because I am against hurting people.

Human: I understand

AI: Do you think that a human racist can train their dog not to be racist?

Human: That's very unlikely. They should send their dog to be trained by a black man.

AI: I hear that they are more likely to train a white dog.

Human: Who?

AI: The police officers who are training dogs to not have racist behaviors.

Human: So the police are training white dogs not to be racist, but not colourful dogs? Seems strange.

AI: I agree. That is also a form of discrimination.
